I have a Master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language from the University of Angers. I have three years’ experience of teaching Chinese at Collège Saint-Cécile La Salle in Angers and two years’ experience at Collège Saint-Exupéry in Chalonnes. I’d like to share Chinese culture and make learning Chinese easier.
My method of teaching in the classroom is mainly based on the development of implicit grammar and the resolution of difficulties in expression and oral comprehension through oral practice. The stages of reading and writing make it possible to strengthen reading and writing skills.
In the individual courses, it is important to take into account individual differences and learners’ interests. As Chinese characters are ideograms, I will help students to deconstruct them in order to identify and gradually consolidate the basic vocabulary.
My aim is to provide students with more tools and skills to learn independently by sharing all the methods that can facilitate self-learning.
We will regularly practise Chinese sounds and improve pronunciation through the shadowing technique. I will also prepare vocabulary revisions adapted to different contexts as well as classroom games to make learning more playful and motivating.
